About the Symposium
The symposium will delve into key aspects of the biofilm matrix, including its biogenesis, biophysical properties, matrix-function structure relationship, and the development of effective control strategies. Research advances involving understanding the fundamental role of matrix components in biofilm formation, biofilm architecture and emergent properties, as well as biofilm matrix derived industrial applications will be addressed.
The symposium will feature the following four themes, for which we are inviting international research leaders to provide keynote presentations:
1. Biogenesis of the Biofilm Matrix
2. Biofilm Matrix Structure & Function
3. Biofilm Biophysics
4. Biofilm Matrix Control Strategies
The symposium will provide opportunities for networking, focus group discussions and poster presentations.
