Antimicrobial Resistance Symposium

The AMR research community and the Singapore National Biofilm Consortium (SNBC) is teaming up to organize a symposium entitled “Challenges and Solutions to the AMR Crisis”, to be held in Singapore from the 9th  to 11th  of September 2024, at the National University of Singapore Alumni House.

The international scientific committee comprises of subject matter experts such as Alain Filloux, Andrew Edwards, Gad Frankel, Jinki Yeom, Kathryn Holt, Mark Schembri, Pablo Bifani and Yunn-Hwen Gan.

The symposium will focus on the mechanisms of transmission and resistance, and how they contribute to the subsequent development of new strategies for prevention and cure. Research advances involving understanding of anti-microbial resistance and its various aspects will also be covered in the symposium. The preliminary programme outline is highlighted below:

Challenges and Solutions to the AMR Crisis (9-11th Sep)

DAY1: Understanding the AMR Burden

DAY2: AMR Challenges and Innovations

DAY3: AMR Innovations and Strategies

With leading experts in the field from both academia, and industry, the symposium will provide ample opportunities for networking, potential collaborations, discussions and poster presentations. There will also be awards and recognitions for posters and early career researchers.
