Gut Microbiome Track – Explores the crucial role of gut microbiota in health and disease, including its associations with various conditions. It examines how diet and nutrition impact the gut microbiome and extends beyond the gut to include oral, liver, vaginal, and respiratory microbiome research. This track also delves into the application of machine learning, AI, and bioinformatics tools for microbiome analysis, as well as microbiome-based therapeutics.
Skin Health & Microbiome Track – Focuses on the relationship between skin health, wellbeing, and microbiome-associated skin diseases. It covers innovations in probiotics and prebiotics for skin health, and examines how the skin barrier, aging, and hydration affect the skin microbiome. The track also explores technological advances in skin microbiome research, including metagenomics and metatranscriptomics. Additionally, it addresses the hair and scalp microbiome, environmental impacts on skin microbiome, and cross-disciplinary approaches to skin microbiome study.
NEW FOCUS – Environmental Microbiome Track – Investigates various applications of microbiome research in the environment. This includes water microbiome applications, air microbiome and its impact on health, and the agri-food microbiome. The track also covers bioremediation and carbon capture techniques, as well as the intersection of microbiome research and data analytics in environmental contexts.
